The Stones River Post #12206 focuses on community service and assistance to Veterans in keeping with the 122-year tradition of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. The scope and nature of the Post's Community Service is determined by its members and input from local and community leaders.

Since its inception in 1899, the Veterans of Foreign Wars has been an outspoken advocate for Veterans' benefits, children & youth, patriotic American values and a strong national defense and quality of life issues for those serving in today's armed forces.
